Project Details

Grayson Park is an approximately 505 acre residential community planned to consist of amenities and approximately 850 homes.

To date Cape Fear Engineering has designed and permitted site and utility infrastructure improvements including offsite water and sewer connections for approximately 464 units.

It is estimated that more than 19,500 LF of gravity sewer, 12,500 LF of sewer force main, two duplex sewer pump stations (300 GPM and 210 GPM), and 20,000 LF of water mains have been designed and permitted by Cape Fear Engineering.

Responsibilities + Solutions

For more than 8 years, Cape Fear Engineering has provided land surveying, land planning, civil engineering, environmental consulting, project management, and construction administration for the project.

Cape Fear Engineering has provided cost estimates, assisted in preparing bid packages and reviewing contractor bids, prepared and reviewed project schedules, assisted with contractor change orders, reviewed contractor pay requests, provided construction inspections, and provided as-builts and certifications.

Cape Fear Engineering successfully negotiated a water master meter connection from Brunswick County near the intersection of Hwy 87 (Maco Road) and US-17. In addition, Cape Fear Engineering was responsible for obtaining NCDOT Encroachment permits for offsite water and sewer improvements along Hwy 87 and Goodman Road (SR1414).
