The Waterford Business Center is a 30 acre mixed use commercial site that was developed to complement the adjacent Waterford of the Carolinas residential development.
The development currently includes a combination of commercial facilities including a drug store, banks, independent boutiques, commercial and professional offices, retail businesses, restaurants, and municipal offices.
Responsibilities + Solutions
Cape Fear Engineering has been responsible for rezoning, site planning, permitting, sedimentation and erosion control, stormwater management, water distribution design and permitting, sewer collection design and permitting, roadway and parking design, and NCDOT encroachment permits.
Cape Fear Engineering has provided cost estimates, assisted in preparing bid packages and reviewing contractor bids, prepared and reviewed project schedules, assisted with contractor change orders, reviewed contractor pay requests, provided construction inspections, and provided as-builts and certifications.
Throughout construction Cape Fear Engineering has provided periodic construction observations and inspections of utility installation and is responsible for providing Professional Engineer’s Certifications to NCDEQ for water distribution, sewer collection, and stormwater management permits.
