SAME’s 2018 Luau Cook-Out

It is always a great experience to be a part of the US Marine Corps Society of American Military Engineers annual Construction Camp Luau Cook-Out at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune! The camp is a hands-on one week Engineering and Construction Camp for competitively selected high school students from across the country. The goal is to inspire the interest of high school students interested in military engineering. The campers participate in various engineering tasks such as designing, constructing and breaking concrete beams, building and racing cardboard canoes, moving water uphill, building and competing with a trebuchet, and many other problem solving and teamwork skills. Cape Fear Engineering has enjoyed participating in every camp since 2012.
