Lumina Station is a multiple phased unique mixed use shopping village located in Wilmington, NC near Wrightsville Beach.
The development includes a variety of boutique shops, dining, and commercial offices.
This award winning commercial development boasts of beautiful landscaping, whimsical sculptures and storybook bridges all of which make for a truly unique shopping experience.
Cape Fear Engineering worked closely with the developer to perform engineering design, permitting, construction management and contract management for Phases II and III of the project
Responsibilities + Solutions
Cape Fear Engineering was responsible for planning, designing and permitting all site improvements which included multiple parking areas, sidewalks to provide pedestrian circulation on site and to connect to adjacent phases of development, site landscaping, site grading and drainage improvements, stormwater collection, and utility connections.
Cape Fear Engineering carefully coordinated with power, phone, cable, and gas companies throughout the design and construction phase.
Site permitting and approval requirements included Site Plan Approval from the City of Wilmington, Stormwater from New Hanover County and NCDEQ, Erosion Control from New Hanover County, and Utility Connections from Cape Fear Public Utility (CFPUA).
Cape Fear Engineering also provided full project management and construction administration services in addition to performing periodic construction inspections and preparing as-builts and certifications for project closeout.
