Construction Materials Testing Field and Laboratory Technician

Positions available for Construction Materials Testing field and/or laboratory technicians to perform field and laboratory tests on soils and concrete. Pay will be commensurate with experience. Successful candidate will have the following qualities and experiences:

• Eye for detail
• Motivated self-starter
• Observe construction activities and document with photographs and notes
• Observe and classify soils
• Perform hand auger borings
• Sample, inspect and test soils, aggregates, and pavement(asphalt and concrete)
• Ability to utilize field and laboratory testing equipment
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Prepare daily field reports to include sketches as needed
• Communication skills for working with clients, owners, and peers
• Ability to routinely lift 40-100 lbs
• Ability to work outside and walk on uneven ground
• Have a State issued Driver’s License
• Must be able to get access to Federal installations (with our sponsorship)
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to use Excel, Word and Adobe is a plus
• 2-5 years of experience as a Construction Materials Field Technician is a plus.
